The 46th parallel marks the northernmost position in the world for olive cultivation. Here, olive trees grow in a particular combination of Alpine and Mediterranean microclimates, allowing the production of valuable extra virgin olive oils with unique characteristics. 46° Parallelo extra virgin olive oil by Agraria Riva del Garda takes its name from this Mediterranean oasis in the heart of the Alps. What fascinates us about this product is the skillful mix of the three varieties from which it derives: the indigenous Casaliva, Frantoio and Leccino, which are harvested early to increase the organoleptic value of the oil, produced following the protocol reserved for organic products.
Tasting Notes
The Agraria Riva Del Garda 46° Parallelo oil is limpid, with an intense golden yellow color and greenish nuances; the nose is elegant and ample, rich in scents of artichoke and wild chicory, with balsamic notes of mint, rosemary and sage. The mouthfeel is full and enveloping, with tones of lettuce and spicy hints of black pepper and almond. Distinct bitterness and strong, well-harmonized pungency.
