Agricola Doria's organic “A’ Catannanna” extra virgin olive oil is a monovarietal Nocellara Etnea with a medium fruity taste. It owes its name to La Catananna, which in Scardina represents the great-grandmother of Agricola Doria's olive groves and silently tells a story born many years ago. Old sunny barks on the doorstep of ancient knowledge. On the porch of my heart. Catananna lives there. Happy and perky. Complex and elegant. Motherly and austere. Present and eternal. The past flows into the future and permanently resides in the present. The matriarch teaches us the way. And marks our steps.
Tasting Notes
Agricola Doria's A' Catananna extra virgin olive oil has elegant aromatic notes of green olives, grass, dried fruit and green tomato. On the palate, there are hints of fresh grass, artichoke, chicory, olive leaf and green tomato. It is decidedly bitter and leaves a strong and persistent spicy sensation of chili pepper. Overall, it is an oil with a strong and pleasant structure, and an aroma revolving around on bitter and green tones. Good persistence.
