The Marina Palusci oil mill produces oils in the heart of Abruzzo, on the Pianella hills, between the Adriatic Sea and the Majella National Park. In this territory, dominated mainly by the Dritta and Leccino varieties, the Marina Palusci extra virgin olive oil is a valid expression of typical local oil. A product that we like as it is characterized by intense fruity notes of green olives, accompanied by a good bitterness and pungency: the result is a crude oil, with a cloudy appearance, and hypnotizing scents and mouthfeel. The oil comes from the Dritta and Leccino olive groves, using olives at the right point of veraison, pressed in a traditional mill and bottled immediately to obtain the best of Abruzzo extra virgin olive oil;
Tasting Notes
"EXV" extra virgin olive oil. Limpid, with a beautifully intense golden yellow color with light green hues. Its aroma is definite and rounded, rich in vegetable hints of artichoke and wild chicory, accompanied by notes of officinal herbs, with distinct hints of mint and rosemary. The mouthfeel is ample and very fine, with tones of field lettuce and spicy nuances of cinnamon, with an almond aftertaste. Bitterness and pungency are present and well expressed.
