Marfuga "L'affiorante" extra virgin olive oil comes from the very heart of our peninsula. Umbria is indeed one of the regions with the oldest olive cultivation traditions in Italy, thanks to the influence of the Etruscans.
The Marfuga farm has a history of olive cultivation that goes back hundreds of years. The great-grandfather Domenico, sold demijohns of oil produced from his olive groves already in the early ‘900. It was Ettore who later bought new olive groves and built the new oil mill, starting to develop the company, which already achieved success in the 1990s when his son Francesco created the Marfuga brand.
Marfuga “L’Affiorante” extra virgin olive oil is produced from olives selected entirely from the Moraiolo cultivar, and is the first oil of the season to be extracted.
Tasting Notes
It fascinates us with its herbaceous taste, with notes of almond and artichoke and the unmistakable olive flavor. The intense bitter and spicy charge is one of the best productions of the mill.
