In the heart of Chianti Classico, for more than a century, the Pruneti Farm has been selling products grown on its own land in San Polo. This is where Leccino extra virgin olive oil was born: an oil that tells us about the most delicate and soft aspect of rural Tuscany, hidden from world tourism. Its light character contrasts with the idea of a classic, more bitter and spicy Tuscan oil: hence the choice of the Pruneti brothers to work this cultivar in purity as the best way to bring out its wonderful and delicate characteristics of fresh vegetables and grass.
Tasting Notes
Pruneti's Leccino extra virgin olive oil is limpid, with an intense golden yellow color and light green hues; strong and complex to the nose, it is rich in notes of artichoke and chicory, and full of balsamic hints of mint, rosemary and sage. The mouthfeel is fine and full of character, with tones of lettuce and nuances of cinnamon, black pepper and almond. Powerful bitterness and strong spiciness.
