Giorgio Franci, appointed a Hero of Made in Italy by Gambero Rosso, is an internationally recognized protagonist of the Italian food culture. This Maremma oil mill is father to many excellent oils, including Franci Moraiolo extra virgin olive oil. Giorgio's philosophy has always been to make quality extra virgin olive oil accessible to everyone. The product is a monocultivar of Moraiolo, obtained from centuries-old olive groves in the area of Collina di Montenero d’Orcia. This extra virgin olive oil is part of the "CRU” line, in which we find the excellence of Frantoio Franci’s production: we like this product because it is an emblem of quality and elegance, due to its strong and vegetable aromas, capable of making us taste the typical hills of Val d’Orcia.
Tasting Notes
The Moraiolo extra virgin olive oil is intense green with light shades. The aroma is decisive, enveloping, a penetrating herbaceous note with rich notes of artichoke, chicory and almond that dominate over a great complexity of vegetable scents and a long persistence of soft aromatic notes. The taste is ample and complex, with a powerful and decisive bitter and spicy charge.
