The Biologico extra virgin olive oil is born from the passion and dedication of the Titone family. After years of being pharmacists, in 1936 the family devoted itself to the cultivation of 5000 olive trees sown in 19 hectares of land between the province of Trapani and Marsala. Starting from the 80's the family made an important step in the history of the company, and they converted to organic farming with the aim of reusing all the remains of the production cycle such as pruning, pomace and vegetation water. Today, the Azienda Agricola Biologica Titone produces about 10,000 liters of organic extra virgin olive oil annually. The Biologico extra virgin olive oil is a multivarietal oil produced from a blend of different cultivars grown on the farm: Cerasuola, Nocellara del Belice, Biancolilla and Coratina.
Tasting Notes
In Titone's Biologico extra virgin olive oil, different notes are exalted such as hints of aromatic herbs, artichoke and some salty notes given by the proximity of the sea. The herbaceous taste stands out on the palate, with spicy and strong bitter notes.
