Felsina Pendolino extra virgin olive oil is born where Chianti ends and the Sienese countryside begins: we are in Castelnuovo Berardenga, in one of the southernmost municipalities of the Chianti Classico area. Felsina is a real farm, whose most important agricultural activity - apart from winemaking - is the production of olive oil. It is here that we discovered Felsina Pendolino extra virgin olive oil: a product that fascinates us with its clear scent of almonds and mowing grass, because of its fresh sensations preceded by bitter notes. Enveloped by a pleasant spicy finish, this oil conveys the warmth, scents and sounds of this corner of Tuscany.
Tasting Notes
Felsina’s oil derived from the Pendolino cultivar is limpid, with a beautifully intense golden yellow color and light green reflections. The bouquet is ample and enveloping, with elegant vegetable hints of artichoke and wild thistle, accompanied by balsamic tones of rosemary and mint. Its mouthfeel is complex and fine, rich in spicy notes of black pepper and hints of chicory and lettuce. Elegant bitterness and well expressed spiciness.
