Description

This is how Frantoi Cutrera's Primo extra virgin olive oil was born, an organic monovarietal oil obtained from the cultivar that makes the area of Sicily where this oil is produced famous: the Tonda Iblea. We like this product because it embodies all the best characteristics that make up the sensory profile of the cultivar: intense and strong, accompanied by herbaceous notes and a sweet finish;


Tasting Notes

Cutrera organic Primo oil is limpid, with a beautiful intense golden yellow color and delicate green reflections. The bouquet is ample and enveloping, rich in notes of medium ripe tomato, white apple and banana, complemented by clear aromatic hints of basil, parsley and mint. The mouthfeel is complex and harmonious, with elegant vegetable tones of fresh broad beans, celery and lettuce. Very strong bitterness and strong and balanced spiciness.

Matching

The ideal combination is with shellfish starters, chickpea salads, marinated amberjack, chanterelle mushroom purée, risotto with artichokes, fried meats, grilled cuttlefish, salmon tartare, baked rabbit, roast chicken, goat cheese.
