Casalontana, in the olive groves owned by Frantoio Gaudenzi located between 430 and 600 meters above sea level, is where Gaudenzi Umbria Casalontana extra virgin olive oil comes to life: made with PDO Umbria Colli Assisi-Spoleto olives, we love its notes that tell of a glorious local tradition made of saints, warriors, unmistakable flavors and colors. From the indigenous Moraiolo and Frantoio varieties, comes this oil with a green and slightly bitter taste, which leads us among the olive trees and cypresses that draw the Umbrian hills landscape.
Tasting Notes
Gaudenzi Umbria Casalontana oil is limpid, with an intense golden yellow color with slight green tones. The aroma is mild and consistent, with vegetable notes of artichoke and chicory, together with balsamic scents of basil and rosemary. Its mouthfeel is soft and harmonious, with a hint of lettuce and almond. Balanced bitterness and pungency, with prominent sweet notes.
