Description

The Ranchino family oil mill produces quality oil in the heart of Umbria, between Porano and Orvieto: the Company, with its olive groves located 450 meters above sea level, creates an oil obtained from volcanic soil. Ranchino Umbria Poggio Amante extra virgin olive oil is created from these particular characteristics: a product that overwhelms us with its persuasive, round and harmonious notes, as the lovers who, according to the ancient local legend, exchanged tender effusions at Poggio dell’Amante, near Porano. What fascinates us is the harmony with which this blend releases the particular characteristics of each olive of origin, just like the story between two lovers: a sweet, spicy and harmonious oil, down to the last bit.

Tasting Notes

The Umbria Poggio Amante oil is limpid, with a beautifully intense golden yellow color with subtle green reflections. The nose is elegant and ample, endowed with scents of officinal herbs, with a clear memory of rosemary and mint. Complex and wrapping in the mouth, it has vegetable tones of artichoke, wild chicory and lettuce, enriched by notes of black pepper and almond. Very strong bitterness and strong, harmonious spiciness.
