Description

Giorgio Franci, appointed a Hero of Made in Italy by Gambero Rosso, is an internationally recognized protagonist of the Italian food culture. Frantoio Maremmano is father to many excellent oils, including Villa Magra by Frantoio Franci: an extra virgin olive oil of award-winning excellence, selected from among the 50 best oils in the world for the exceptional harmony of its complexity. It is the intense fruity symbol of the company and takes its name from the centuries-old olive grove destroyed by frost in 1985 and replanted in 1987 on the hill of Montenero d'Orcia. Together with Olivastra Seggianese and Le Trebbiane,Villa Magra is part of the prestigiousSelezioni range, that brings Tuscan style to the table in three different levels of intensity. This oil fascinates us with its wealth of aromas, representative of this region in symbiosis with man.

Tasting Notes

Frantoio Franci Villa Magra oil is limpid, with an intense golden yellow color, with delicate green hues; its aroma is strong and complex, rich in vegetable hints of artichoke, wild chicory and lettuce. The taste is fine and distinctive, with balsamic tones of mint and rosemary and spicy notes of black pepper and sweet almond. Bitterness and spiciness are present and well-dosed.

It goes very well with Chianina beef carpaccio with porcini mushrooms, tuna salads, grilled radicchio, bean soups, first courses with sausage, grilled tuna, grilled red meat or game, hard mature cheeses.
