In the heart of Chianti Classico, the Pruneti Farm has been selling products grown on its own land in San Polo for over a century. Pruneti’s Organic Toscano “Colline di Firenze” extra virgin olive oil was born from the willingness to preserve ancient flavors and fragrances that tell the story of a lifestyle. We particularly like this oil, because it embodies the recognition of a farming population that has contributed to making these hills the pride of Tuscany. A product that is the result of a blend of the various Leccino, Frantoio, Pendolino, Moraiolo and Maurino indigenous cultivars, and which echoes the flavors of an old yet lively tradition.
Pruneti's PGI Toscano is limpid, with beautifully intense golden yellow color and delicate green hues. The nose is ample and enveloping, full of scents of artichoke and chicory, accompanied by notes of herbs, with a distinct hint of mint and rosemary. The mouthfeel is full and complex, with tones of field lettuce and a rich finish of almond and cinnamon. Strong bitterness and distinct spiciness.
