Eugenio Ranchino's work in his oil mill is based on three fundamental pillars: Tradition, commitment and passion. For several generations the Ranchino family has been handing down the knowledge acquired to understand the perfect moment through the degree of ripeness of the olives, in order to produce an excellent extra virgin olive oil. The estate, located in the province of Orvieto, has 3000 trees that are cared for partly with mechanical systems and partly with traditional ones. The location at 450 m above sea level, together with the characteristics of the soil of volcanic origin, make Frantoio Ranchino's oil unique and different from other Umbrian oils.
Tasting notes
The “Fanciullo” extra virgin olive oil has a clear green nuance, the nose perceives very well fresh herbaceous notes of lettuce chicory and tomato leaf. Its taste is elegant and harmonious, with pleasantly powerful bitter and spicy notes and hints of wild chicory.
