The Case D'Alto farm, located in the province of Avellino, was born with the intention of promoting and enhancing the territory through quality products such as wine and extra virgin olive oil. The extra virgin olive oil is in fact an indisputable heritage of Irpinia and Case D'Alto has contributed since the beginning to carry on the work of enhancing this territory thanks to its products. Among the most cultivated cultivars are Leccino, Marinese, Ravece and Olivella di Grottaminarda.
Tasting notes
The Gran Cru extra virgin olive oil is an organic oil obtained from the mixture of different cultivars including Ravece, Leccino and Frantoio. The shade is a golden yellow. On the nose you can perceive intensity and freshness with notes of tomato and on the finish scents of field grasses. The taste is intense with well balanced bitter and spicy, despite the intense flavor a feeling of extreme freshness with distinct hints of field grass remains on the palate.
