Made by Olearia San Giorgio, the first Italian Extra Virgin Olive Oil Slow Food Presidium, L’Aspromontano extra virgin olive oil was born between the towns of San Giorgio Morgeto and Cittanova: a blend produced from Carolea and Ottobratica olives, fruits with excellent organoleptic properties. What we like about this oil is the strength with which it takes us to the slopes of Aspromonte, thanks to its hints of wild thistle, small red fruits and delicate tones of underbrush. From the encounter of these notes, blossoms a balanced extra virgin oil, with harmonious bitterness and spiciness, ideal to use raw on any dish.
Tasting Notes
Olearia San Giorgio L’Aspromontano is limpid, with a beautiful intense golden yellow color and delicate green hues. The nose opens wide and enveloping, with balsamic hints of mint and rosemary, are accompanied by spicy tones of black pepper and hints of almond. The mouthfeel is complex and harmonious, characterized by vegetable nuances of lettuce, artichoke and chicory. Bitterness and pungency are present and balanced.
