Marfuga's extra virgin olive oil is a multivarietal oil obtained from the three main cultivars grown on the farm, namely Moraiolo, Frantoio and Leccino.
The farm, located at the foot of the Marfuga hill in the province of Perugia, has a centuries-old history, the first records of oil sales date back to the early 1800s. Carried on from generation to generation, today Francesco develops the family business with passion and dedication after the creation in the 90s of the brand Marfuga.
Marfuga's extra virgin olive oil is obtained by harvesting olives at a good degree of ripeness, and is extracted cold using the continuous cycle method.
Tasting Notes
The land characteristics and the particular climate give this oil an elegant and rounded scent and a green nuance; the taste is fruity and delicate, and despite having a good intensity and persistence, it leaves a slightly spicy and bitterish aftertaste.
