Description

The hills south of Florence, near Bagno a Ripoli, is where the typical Tuscan cultivar originated, from which Ramerino’s Moraiolo extra virgin olive is obtained. The Moraiolo olive gives life to an extra virgin oil with herbaceous scents, capable of immersing us in the green countryside: this product excites us with these very characteristics, which make it rich, full-bodied and retainer of the particular characteristics of a rural and lively territory.

Tasting Notes

Ramerino’s Organic Moraiolo oil is limpid, with a beautifully intense golden yellow color and delicate green hues. The nose is ample and enveloping, endowed with balsamic hints of mint and rosemary, together with vegetable notes of artichoke and chicory. The mouthfeel is complex and fine, with tones of field lettuce and a clean finish of black pepper and almond. Marked bitterness and strong spiciness.

Matching

Excellent with tuna appetizers, bruschette with tomato, spinach salads, pinzimonio, bean soups, first courses with blue fish, grilled tuna, stewed red meat or game, hard mature cheeses.
