From a noble oil mill comes a noble oil: Marina Colonna - heir of Prince Francesco Colonna - Peranzana extra virgin olive oil. This oil is produced exclusively from the Peranzana variety, a cultivar imported into southern Italy from Provence in the 18th century by the Duke of Sangro. This oil from Molise excites us for its exquisitely elegant personality, which balances the characteristics of an extra virgin oil with a strong Mediterranean imprint and the delicacy of a high-class condiment.
Tasting Notes
Marina Colonna's Peranzana oil is limpid, with a beautiful intense golden yellow color with greenish reflections. The nose is ample and enveloping, with scents of celery, lettuce and fresh broad beans, enriched by balsamic notes of basil, mint and sage. The mouthfeel is fine and complex, with tones of medium ripe tomato, white apple, banana and an almond aftertaste. Bitterness and spiciness are present and balanced.
