Our history

The Azienda Agricola Pernigo was established in the Veronese hills in 2001 thanks to Tiziano Pernigo's passion for the land. He bought several hectares of land and thus became a producer of food and various medicinal herb products, all organically grown. Initially, the farm was dedicated to the cultivation of medicinal plants only, then the land was expanded to include the cultivation of vines and olive trees. The olive trees number more than 10,000 and are located together with the olive presses on the hillside of Valpantena, the valley of Verona.
Attention to the land is one of the core values of the Pernigo farm; in fact, there has always been a focus on biodiversity and well-being. Other great values fuel the company's driving force such as attention to the individual. In fact, Pernigo collaborates with a social cooperative for the rehabilitation and enhancement of disadvantaged people who, by working in contact with nature, are able to give value to themselves and the product they work for.
The entire production process is taken care of down to the smallest detail, and innovation in processing technology as well as in management allows for a product of absolute quality and in harmony with nature. The extra virgin olive oil produced on the farm is a product of excellence for those who love gastronomy; the most widely cultivated variety is the Grignano, which has a centuries-old tradition in the Veronese hills.
