Description

The Anfosso family has been producing extra virgin olive oil since 1945, respecting the Ponente Ligurian tradition. The entire Anfosso production has the aim of enhancing the traditions of this region and the products that have always characterized it: this is the origin of Anfosso's Riviera Ligure extra virgin olive oil, a PDO product that fascinates us for its ability to bring back the taste of the cultivar from which it derives, the famous Taggiasca, to our palates. This product allows us to enter a unique territory, in the protected area of origin of the province of Imperia, with high quality raw materials, processed to give products with an authentic flavor;

Tasting Notes

PDO Riviera Ligure oil is limpid, with an intense golden yellow color and delicate green reflections. The bouquet is ample and enveloping, with fruity hints of unripe tomato and white apple, flanked by balsamic notes of basil and parsley. It has a fine and complex flavor, with hints of artichoke and nuances of celery and lettuce. Balanced bitterness and pungency, with prominent sweet notes.

Matching

It goes exceptionally well with mayonnaise, steamed lobster, snapper carpaccio, seafood salads, marinated sea bass, ovoli mushroom purée, fish couscous, fried vegetables, sea bream tartare, fresh soft cheeses and sweet leavened products.

For dressing cold and hot dishes with a delicate structure. For brief cooking times at moderate temperatures and for frying.
