In the land of Arneo, between the towns of Nardo’ and Copertino, in the rural heart of Salento, La Cornula Terra d'Otranto extra virgin olive oil is born. The name of the oil mill refers to the land of origin of the Frantoio, where La Cornula is not a simple denomination, but a symbol of the land where the term comes from the Lecce dialect and indicates the horn-shaped fruit of the carob tree, which abounds in the Salento area. A blend with an elegant bitter aftertaste, run through by brushstrokes of spiciness that strikes us for its great versatility in the kitchen. This oil fascinates us because it makes us relive La Cornula through the taste, smells and colors of these varieties of olive trees, witnesses of Puglia’s identity.
Tasting notes
