The Ranchino family oil mill produces quality oil in the heart of Umbria, between Porano and Orvieto: the company, with its olive groves located 450 meters above sea level, creates an oil obtained from volcanic soil. From this peculiarity comes the extra virgin olive oil Umbria Poggio Amante di Ranchino: a product that overwhelms us with its persuasive notes, round and harmonious as the lovers who, according to the ancient legend of the place, exchanged tender effusions at Poggio dell'Amante, near Porano. What fascinates us is the harmony with which this blend releases the peculiarities of each olive of origin, just like the story between two lovers: a sweet, spicy but harmonious oil in every part.
Tasting notes
Umbria Poggio Amante oil is a beautiful intense golden yellow color with subtle green reflections, clear. The nose is elegant and ample, endowed with hints of officinal herbs, with a distinct memory of rosemary and mint. Complex and enveloping in the mouth, it has vegetable tones of artichoke, wild chicory and lettuce, enriched by notes of black pepper and almond. Very strong bitterness and strong, harmonious pungency.
