Ciccolella “Faresse” extra virgin olive oil is an oil of superior quality, cold extracted at less than 23 degrees and filtered from 100% Ogliarola olives from secular plants. We like Faresse because it is an elegant and delicate oil that stands out for its sweet taste and fragrances reminiscent of almond, banana and yellow apple.
Tasting Notes
Faresse extra virgin olive oil is made with 100% Ogliarola cultivar harvested in Contrada Lago Faresse, Molfetta. The olives are harvested in the second ten-day period of October from trees that are on average 100 years old. Thanks to the typical characteristics of this variety, Faresse stands out for its finesse, enriched by lively and rich herbaceous fragrances and an almond note. Overall, it has a delicate fruitiness with a precise bouquet of fruit on the tones of banana and yellow apple. The taste reconfirms the sensations of yellow fruit amplified, by suggestions of lettuce and root, underlined by a light bitterness at the entrance, followed by an equally light spiciness.
