In Monteciccardo, in the province of Pesaro-Urbino, the convent of the Padri Serviti (known to everyone as “Il Conventino”) has been a pivotal points in the history of the village: after over two years of absence from the convent corridors, the friars have returned to these hills of tuff and clay, thanks to the Il Conventino oil mill. Conventino’s Fra’ Pasquale extra virgin olive oil fascinates us particularly for the intense character with which it expresses the monocultivar it belongs to, the Raggiola. An oil that speaks to us of the temperament of an old monk of the Marche region, between herbaceous and fruity tones that swell on the palate.
Tasting Notes
Il Conventino Organic Frantoio Fra’ Pasquale oil is limpid, with an intense golden yellow color and light green nuances. The nose is enveloping and ample, with rich aromatic scents of mint and basil, complemented by notes of black pepper, cinnamon and almond. The taste is complex and full of character, with tones of artichoke, chicory and lettuce, and hints of rosemary and sage. Very pronounced bitterness and strong spiciness.
