Frantoio Comincioli is a family of olive growers who have been handing down the quality of their olive groves in Puegnago del Garda for 14 generations. We like the Comincioli Leccino extra virgin olive oil, as it is defined by a light fruitiness that reflects the character of this cultivar: a gentle personality, elegant but strong in bitterness and pungency, due to its high polyphenol and vitamin content. This is because it is "denocciolato", i.e. extracted by separating the fruit from the stone in order to obtain oil from the olive pulp alone: a choice made by Comincioli in order to make the most of the healthy components in which the oil is naturally rich. We're not just talking about oil, but a true precious essence for enhancing - with just a few drops - the flavors of dishes.
Tasting Notes
Comincioli's Leccino oil is limpid, with a beautiful intense golden yellow color and greenish tones; its aroma is ample and enveloping, with hints of artichoke, chicory and balsamic herbs, and prominent mint and basil nuances. The mouthfeel is complex and fine, with tones of lettuce, rosemary and a distinct finish of black pepper and almond. Bitterness and spiciness are well expressed.
