Mieli Thun spruce honey is an excellent honeydew with a typical dark colour defined by petrol-green reflections that contains traces of green algae and microscopic fungi living on the plants of origin. The honey is obtained from spruce trees that grow in the magnificent mountain landscape, characterised by persistent needle-shaped leaves with not particularly flashy flowers, that result in the production of single-flower honeydew honey. In the tasting phase, notes of fir resin, barley caramel, candied citrus peel and rare smoky hints can be perceived, while on the palate, slight sweet sensations prevail, accompanied by clear sensations of malt and caramel.
