Amuì is a company born from the passion and experience of over 245 years of olive growing by the Siciliano family, in the town of Toritto, located in the heart of the Puglia region, where they grow their olives. The name “Amuì” comes from the word 'Amuid', a metal container traditionally used to serve oil on tables, in the dialect of Toritto.
Amuì is inspired by the oral tradition and stories that are passed down from generation to generation, thus creating a brand that offers a centuries-old gastronomic experience of Apulia through a pure and intense extra virgin olive oil that nourishes body and soul.
The combination of land, climate, passion and the hands of the Siciliano family makes Amuì oil a unique product that spans generations. The olives used have been grown exclusively by the Siciliano family since 1776 in Puglia-Italy, prioritising high quality over quantity. The olives are picked directly from the trees at the optimum stage of ripeness, guaranteeing a superior quality oil.
The oil is extracted immediately after harvesting, using innovative technologies that guarantee the preservation of all its nutraceutical and organoleptic properties. Filtration takes place immediately after extraction, thus preventing any residues from accelerating the oxidative process of the oil. In addition, the 100% Coratina Amuì olive oil has longer lasting properties due to its high polyphenol content.
