Cosmo Di Russo

Cosmo di Russo began operating in Gaeta, in the province of Latina, in 2008. This hilly area has immediately proved to be ideal for the cultivation of olives, thanks to the calcareous sands that characterize the soil. The influence of the sea and the mild, windy and never too humid climate are also favorable factors. Plants grow and develop without risking excessive temperature fluctuations throughout the year. The peculiarities of this territory led the Etruscans to devote themselves to the cultivation of olive trees, always obtaining excellent results, both in terms of quality and quantity.
Cosmo, following the valuable advice of his father Pasquale, continues a family tradition that is lost in time. In addition to extra virgin olive oil, the Cosmo di Russo Farm produces both black and green Gaeta olives. Over time, their objectives have remained unchanged: the will, today as then, to spread the knowledge of local fruit outside the borders, working in full respect of tradition.
It is no coincidence that the slogan chosen by the company to promote its activities is "Territory and tradition, the roots of our products". The results, both in terms of sales and awards, seem to support Cosmo's choices. 
È suffice it to remember how in 2016, their extra virgin olive oil managed to win first place within the Extra Virgin Medium Fruity category, and the Sol d'Argento among monovarietal oils, during the prestigious Sol d'Oro International Competition held in Verona. Gaeta olives, on the other hand, are exported all over the world, with the Cosmo di Russo Farm representing the only existing reality that produces these olives within the city of Gaeta.
