From the land of Calabria comes Doria Sud extra virgin olive oil, an excellent blend from organic farming, where three cultivars - each representing a southern region - meet: Roggianella representing Calabria, Coratina representing Puglia and Nocellara del Belice representing Sicily. Three regions, three tastes, three flavors. Sud is home to these three varieties, each one making its own fundamental contribution to its strong taste and an intensity equal to the sun under which these plants grow. Anintense and lively blend,in the words of Alessandra Paolini, heart and soul of this olive-growing reality, representing the character of Southern Italy and created so that whoever tastes it will find in its intense notes a bit of that land.
Tasting Notes
Doria's Sud oil is limpid, with an intense golden yellow color with light green reflections; its aroma is ample and enveloping, rich in scents of freshly mown grass and broom, accompanied by aromatic notes of mint and rosemary. The mouthfeel is elegant and characterful, with tones of artichoke and chicory, and spicy nuances of almond and cinnamon. Distinct bitterness and pungency are present and balanced.
