Since the 1950s Luigi Tega and his family have been producing extra virgin olive oil in the heart of green Umbria. The desire to produce an oil that reflected the culture and tradition of the area led the Tega family to increase its production capacity by buying new land and olive groves. The olive-growing vocation of the territory and of the Tega family has very distant origins, in fact the oil mill, today modernized with new technologies, is housed in the old mill whose construction dates back to 1500.
Tasting notes
Gran Cru Colle dell'Eremita extra virgin olive oil is an intense fruity with a clear emerald green colour, the scent is endowed with rich vegetal notes of aromatic herbs such as mint, rosemary and basil. The taste is deep and persistent, where bitter and spicy are perfectly combined giving hints of chicory, artichoke, wild thistle and almond in closing.
