Frantoio Comincioli is a family of olive growers who have been handing down the quality of their olive groves in Puegnago del Garda for 14 generations. We like the Comincioli Leccino extra virgin olive oil, because it is defined by a light fruitiness that reflects the character of this cultivar: a gentle personality, elegant but strong in bitterness and pungency, due to its high polyphenol and vitamin content. This is because it is "pitted", i.e. extracted by separating the fruit from the stone in order to obtain oil from the olive pulp alone: a choice made by Comincioli in order to make the most of the healthy components that the oil is naturally rich in. We're not just talking about oil, but a true essence, precious for enhancing the flavors of your dishes with just a few drops.
Tasting notes
Comincioli's Leccino oil from pitted olives is limpid, with a beautifully intense golden yellow color and greenish tones; on the nose it is ample and enveloping, with hints of artichoke, chicory and balsamic herbs, and mint and basil nuances. The mouthfeel is complex and fine, with tones of lettuce, rosemary and a distinct finish of black pepper and almond. Bitterness and spiciness are well expressed.
