The Galantino family has built its own company in the heart of Apulia, in the area of Bisceglie. A land rich in history, culture and tradition that can be tasted throughout the landscape among trulli, churches, castles and expanses of olive trees. The leap in productivity for Frantoio Galantino came in the 1960s, when they purchased an estate of 47 hectares of olive trees from which they now produce the best extra virgin olive oils. Today, Frantoio Galantino continues to be led by Gianvito Galantino, who continues the affirmation of the family business on the international market, but above all, he increasingly affirms the excellence of his products on the national market.
Tasting Notes
Frantoio Galantino Gran Cru Coratina extra virgin olive oil is also an extra virgin oil of excellence as it is obtained from olives harvested on the family estate. Gianvito Galantino personally takes care of the production in all its phases, from the harvesting by hand to the panel test that he carries out personally. The color of the Gran Cru Coratina is an intense green with golden reflections. The monocultivar Coratina gives an intense, fresh and herbaceous scent with hints of artichoke; the mouthfeel is spicy and bitter, complemented by hints of vegetable and aromatic that leave an aftertaste of almond and artichoke.
