In Chiaramonte Gulfi, a small village in south-eastern Sicily, the Cutrera family has been devoted to the production of extra virgin olive oil for about a century. Frantoi Cutrera's PGI Sicilia extra virgin olive oil is born out of love for this land. What excites us about this multivarietal oil is its territoriality, unleashed on the palate and on the nose: Cutrera's PGI Sicilia is the first certified IGP Sicilia oil that perfectly expresses its Sicilian nature, as it is obtained from the best native Sicilian cultivars, Biancolilla and Nocellara del Belice.
Tasting Notes
The Sicilia extra virgin is limpid yellow with green reflections. The nose is strong, with a fruity medium intensity and aromatic notes typical of the Sicilian cultivars from which it derives, mainly based on artichoke and tomato. The mouthfeel reveals balanced and persistent bitterness and spiciness, with spiciness slightly more powerful.
WARNING: This oil is packaged in a glass bottles without a leak-proof cork.
