The De Carlo family, Master Oil Millers since the 18th century, guarantee the excellence of extra virgin olive oil with continuity and innovation: experimenting with new technologies, passing from the love for every single plant in the oil mill to the art of modern mechanics, the De Carlo family gives life to high quality products. This is how De Carlo “L’Olio di Felice Garibaldi” extra virgin olive oil was born, in honor of the brother of the Hero of Two Worlds, who, in 1835, came to Bari from Nice and in a short time became a key figure in the local olive oil production. This product fascinates us thanks to itsdelicate and sweet fruitiness with a soft and balanced taste, obtained from the Ogliarola Barese -also known as "Cima di Bitonto" -nowadays recognized as one of the best varieties in the world.
Tasting Notes
De Carlo L’Olio di Felice Garibaldi extra virgin olive oil has an intense golden yellow color with delicate limpid green hues; its aroma is enveloping and ample, rich in vegetable hints of artichoke, wild chicory and lettuce, together with spicy notes of black pepper and hints of almond. The mouthfeel is elegant and complex, characterized by tones of officinal herbs, with prominent mint and rosemary notes. Bitterness and spiciness are present, well expressed and harmonious.
