Description

The Palusci company produces oils in the heart of Abruzzo, on the Pianella hills, between the Adriatic Sea and the Majella National Park. In this area, dominated by the Dritta and Leccino varieties, Marina Palusci Uomo di Ferro oil is born: the strongest oil that can be obtained from the Dritta del Frantoio variety only. What we like most about this product, is its olive fruitiness, which is expressed with other very marked aromatic notes: from the characteristic scent of almond to the greener expression of chicory, rocket and the hull of the green walnut, you get a vigorous bitterness and a spiciness of the same intensity, confirming the harmony of the intense notes, just like the image of an iron man, fearless and energetic.

Tasting Notes

Marina Palusci L’Uomo di Ferro extra virgin olive oil is limpid, with a golden yellow color and light green reflections; on the nose, it is ample and enveloping, with hints of medium ripe tomatoes and balsamic notes of mint, basil and parsley. The mouthfeel is endowed with an ample vegetable flavor, with tones of artichoke and broad beans, lettuce and celery. Very distinct bitterness and well expressed spiciness, with a spicy black pepper and almond aftertaste.

Matching

It goes well with bruschetta with vegetables, lentil salads, marinated perch, tomatoes with rice, legume soups, first courses with salmon, shellfish au gratin, roast cuttlefish, roast poultry or lamb, goat cheese.
