Where Chianti ends and the Sienese countryside begins, the Felsina Leccino extra virgin olive oil is born: we are in Castelnuovo Berardenga, in one of the southernmost municipalities of the Chianti Classico area. Felsina is a real farm, whose most important agricultural activity - apart from winemaking - is the production of olive oil. The Leccino extra virgin olive oil fascinates us, because it is fresh, with a rather bitter and slightly fruity taste: a product that, throughfruity fragrances and hints of dried fruit, immerses us in a deep bond that exudes from the limestone and petrous soil of this corner of Tuscany.
Tasting Notes
Felsina Leccino oil is an intense limpid golden yellow color with greenish nuances. Its aroma is definite and complex, with ample vegetable notes of artichoke, wild chicory and elegant hints of aromatic herbs, with prominent mint and basil nuances. The mouthfeel is enveloping and full of personality, with tones of thistle, lettuce, black pepper and a sweet almond aftertaste. Strong bitterness and spiciness present and harmonious.
