Comincioli

The Comincioli family, has been producing wine and oil since 1500 in the area of Puegnago in Valtenesi, nin the Riviera del Garda Bresciano, . Day after day, the members of the Comincioli family work with commitment and passion to obtain excellent quality products, constantly striving to enhance the cultivation and transformation processes.

The Comincioli family's estate is divided into an 11-hectare vineyard and a 10-hectare olive grove, where mostly native cultivars of the Garda area are grown: Casaliva, Favaröl, Rossanel, Gargnà, Trepp, Mitria, Regina del Garda, Raza and Cornaröl. And also the Leccino variety, introduced in this territory at the beginning of the twentieth century.

Since 2011, all the extra-virgin olive oils produced by the Comincioli family have been obtained from pitted olives. This type of processing makes it possible not to alter the polyphenol content of the olives and to obtain a purer oil than that those obtained from whole olives. Milling is done in a modern plant, through cold extraction. Each variety is processed separately, in order to be able to bottle both monovarietal and blend oils.

After harvesting by mechanical shaking machines, the olives are selected by hand. In order to obtain a high quality extra virgin olive oil, only the fruits that are intact and not damaged by parasites are sent to the milling process. The washing and pitting phases follow, then the olives are ground and the oil is extracted and packaged oxygen-free.

The Comincioli family offers four different types of extra virgin olive oil: Leccino, a monocultivar with a balanced flavor and brilliant color; Numero Uno, obtained from a blend of 10 different cultivars, with a predominance of Leccino and Casaliva cultivars; Casaliva, a strong extra virgin that encompasses all the characteristics of the territory, and the Terrae oil, obtained from a selection of Italian olives.
