Maida

Maida is the story of a small business started about 25 years ago by Francesco Vastola in Capaccio in the Paestum area and specialised in preserving vegetables in jars. It stands on a historical site surrounded by archaeological excavations and walls that rise for about 4.5 km interspersed with gates and minor landscapes written in centuries of history when Poseidonia was one of the richest and most flourishing colonies in southern Italy.

From the very beginning, the company's aim has been to offer the flavours of its land and to create a family-run artisan business, achieving fame and success over time as a result of a continuous search for vegetables and fruit linked to this immense territory. Thanks to commitment and dedication, today the reality extends over about 11 hectares of prime quality organic production, respecting the seasonality of the product and processing it through a careful artisanal method without the addition of preservatives or additives in absolute respect of ancient peasant recipes.

The result is a range of absolutely exquisite preserves, pickles, jams, sauces and gravies with original, attractive packaging that recalls the soft, balanced forms of Greek architecture.

An idea that represents Italian haute cuisine where you can immediately feel the passion of those working on a project that has been ongoing for years and that crowns great Italian excellence.
