In Castagneto Carducci, in the province of Livorno, the two brothers Paolo and Simone Di Gaetano have long carried on the tradition of their parents, who moved from Milan to Tuscany to fulfill their dream: producing quality extra virgin olive oil. Fonte di Foiano Toscano extra virgin olive oil is a PGI product that speaks of this region: a product that we like because it is Tuscan in name and in fact,, distinctive of a centuries-old culture, born from the blend of the most typical native cultivars:Frantoio, Moraiolo and Leccino. An oil with a brilliant and enveloping temperament, characterized by a distinct spiciness reminiscent of the character of the region's inhabitants.
Tasting Notes
The Fonte Di Foiano Toscano extra virgin olive oil is limpid with an intense golden yellow color and delicate green tones; the nose is ample and enveloping, rich in scents of artichoke and wild thistle, with clear aromatic notes of mint and rosemary. The mouthfeel is full and elegant, with tones of chicory, lettuce and hints of sage, black pepper and unripe almond. Strong bitterness, bold spiciness and well-harmonized.
