From the passion of generations of pharmacists, in a strip of land between Trapani and Marsala, the Titone family has been producing quality oil since 1936, in respect of the environment and with an eye to human health. The oil mill was indeed one of the first in Sicily to convert to organic farming: this is the source of the Valli Trapanesi extra virgin olive oil, which speaks for the thousand-year-old scents of this part of Sicily. The territory of the province of Trapani is the land of good olive oil; here, olive growing has ancient roots, now recognized by the PDO Valli Trapanesi, where the Titone family olive groves are located. What we like about this oil is its very high quality, in the name of wellbeing and respect for the environment: a limpid product, representative of ancient olive-growing traditions that this land still embodies.
Tasting Notes
Titone's Valli Trapanesi oil is limpid, with an intense golden yellow color and delicate green reflections. The nose is full and enveloping, rich in notes of medium ripe tomato, apple and banana. The mouthfeel is fine and complex, with tones of broad beans, lettuce, celery and hints of basil, mint and oregano. Very pronounced bitterness and strong spiciness.
