Appennino Food was born in the late 1980s from Luigi Dattilo's passion. At just 17 years old, he bought a truffle dog which opened up a world that has led Appennino Food to become one of the biggest companies in the truffle industry today. Along with Luigi, his brother Angelo and Roberto Fattore began working side by side, investing in advanced technology and the search for quality raw materials.
