Our history
Sommariva è un'azienda agricola a conduzione famigliare che da oltre 104 anni tramanda di generazione in generazione nel suo frantoio ad Albenga i valori della famiglia, dell'artigianalità e della cultura. Amore e rispetto per la terra sono la filosofia che dal 1915 accompagna il lavoro della famiglia Sommariva, giunta alla quinta generazione, fatto di passione ed impegno nel trasformare i meravigliosi frutti della terra ligure.
La produzione dell'olio Sommariva avviene nel frantoio di proprietà ed è dedicata prevalentemente all'olio extravergine di Oliva Monocultivar di Taggiasca e anche ad altri prodotti tipici liguri. Come le Olive in Salamoia o il Pesto Genovese BIO o i Carciofini sott’Olio. Per non parlare del Caviale del Centa e della Crema di Acciughe e molti altri ancora.
L'olio extravergine di oliva “mosto”, pressato a freddo, "Cru Muela", olive in salamoia, pesto genovese biologico, creme, conserve e tante specialità della vecchia cucina ligure sono create artigianalmente con materie prime quasi tutte provenienti dall’Azienda Agricola della famiglia Sommariva, tra le prime in Italia ad ottenere la certificazione Biologica nel 1972. L’assenza di additivi chimici e conservanti, garantiscono qualità e genuinità ineguagliabili.
L'azienda Sommariva produce prodotti “sani e giusti” ma anche prodotti GLUTEN FREE e VEGAN per venire incontro alle esigenze di tutti i clienti.
Oggi l'agricola è guidata da Agostino Sommariva, due volte campione del mondo di vela, da sua moglie Anna e dai suoi figli Alice e Gabriele.
